Five crewmembers of the fishing vessel evacuated the boat, while it remained afloat and then towed to port.

However, 'Cecilie Maersk' turned back after the collision and took part in search and rescue operations. According to reports the container ship managed to pick up the fishermen.

No injuries were reported, while the fishing vessel sustained damages to its hull and an investigation will be conducted into this accident.
