Adani Group is offering 50% discount on the charges levied on LNG-ships at India’s largest commercial port, Mundra.
This decision comes as India seeks to reduce emissions per its green port’s plan.
More specifically, Adani explained that the waiver scheme will only apply to vessels that have dual-fuel engines that deploy LNG as their primary fuel.
The scheme will also remain valid for six months starting from 1 August 2021.
Nevertheless, the waiver on port charges will not be applicable for vessels carrying LNG cargo and operating on LNG fuel.
