Lloyd’s Register along with Swedish Transport Administration, Trafikverket shake their hands and signed a £2m framework agreement in order to deliver third party assessment services for the region’s rail network.
Specifically, the agreement, which runs for two years initially with an option to extend for a further two years, strengthens LR’s position as a key consultant to the Swedish Transport Administration.
This latest agreement provides us with an opportunity to further strengthen this relationship, build on an already high level of trust and continue to deliver exceptional assurance services.
…Asle Martinsen, Transport Assurance Manager at Lloyd’s Register noted.
What is more, as an accredited assessment body (AsBo) and notified body (NoBo) in Europe, LR will deliver independent assurance services for projects across the network.
In fact, LR will deliver independent assurance services for projects across the network, while provide third party certification at various points throughout project lifecycles to ensure the structural subsystem conforms to the technical specifications outlined by the European Union (EU).
This new agreement is testament to LR’s expertise and excellent track record in the European railway sector. It follows a previous framework agreement for NoBo services for Trafikverket, where we delivered positive results and developed a good relationship over a three-year period.
