The Korean Register informs of all the limited information concerning ships entering and leaving Taiwan in regard to the new coronavirus that, up till now, has costed the lives of 565 people, while confirmed cases exceed 28,000 across China. What is more, except from China, coronavirus cases have been reported in other countries in Asia, such as Malaysia and Japan, in Australia, Germany, France, the US and Canada among others.
As the Coronavirus has been at the centre of attention these days from the end of December 2019, the live map launched by the Johns Hopkins University provides the numbers of confirmed infections and presents the overall picture of the situation on an everyday basis.
KR now informs of all the limited information concerning ships entering and leaving Taiwan as follows:
- If any of the crew has fever; cough or shortness of breath upon arrival- whether taking any cough suppressants, antipyretics or not- should inform to Quarantine officers at the airport or port as soon as possible.
- If a vessel has been to Chinese ports within the last 14 days, its crew cannot be permitted to issue shore pass and go ashore.
- Chinese crews may not be permitted to issue shore pass in all of Taiwan ports.
- Chinese people are rejected to enter Taiwan from the airport.
- Foreigners who have been to China within the last 14 days, are not permitted to enter Taiwan.
- People from Hong Kong and Macau should be under home or hotel quarantine for 14 days after landing on Taiwan.
