A cargo of Iranian crude oil that was seized by the United States, was unloading on 20th August, after two and a half months of waiting, off the coast of Texas.
In particular, the cargo was Suez Rajan, a Marshall Islands-flagged tanker.
It has been anchored off Galveston, about 50 miles outside of Huston since 30th May.
As explained, on 20th August, the Liberia-flagged tanker MR Euphrates was lined up next to Iranian tanker to perform a ship to ship transfer.
According to Reuters, Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard has warned that those involved in offloading the cargo, should expect to be struck back.
As informed, U.S. lawmakers have urged President Joe Biden and members of his administration to resolve the delay in the transfer of the cargo.
They estimated the oil on the 800,000 barrel tanker was worth $56 million.
