As local sources report, a 46-year-old sailor from the Philippines suffered critical injuries in an accident, that took place during cargo holding operations. The sailor was onboard ‘Bulk Japan’ bulk carrier.
Specifically, the incident occurred the time when the vessel was sailing from Qinzhou China, Gulf of Tonkin, to Singapore, in the evening of June 12, and turned to Da Nang, Vietnam.
In the evening hours, the crewmember suffered spine and breast injuries and crashed arm with massive blood loss.

Following, the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) provided guidance for the ship to head to Da Nang city. The MRCC mobilised the SAR 274 rescue ship and teamed up with doctors of the 115 Emergency Aid Centre in Da Nang to rescue the wounded sailor.
When he was no longer in critical condition, the victim was rushed to Da Nang city for further treatment.
