MPA Singapore published its March port-performance focusing on key port indicators, such as the number of vessels arriving, the container throughput, the cargo throughput and the bunker sales. Generally, March experienced a slight decrease in the majority of its sectors, except the container throughput, that rose by 3.8%.
Specifically, as the MPA Singapore reveals, March has slight decrease. Specifically:
- The number of vessels arriving in March were 11.509. As the infographic shows, the arrivals fell by 8.3% year-on-year;
- The number of vessel arrivals by gross tonnage were 229.41, decreasing by 3.9% Y-O-Y;
- The container throughput was increased by 3.8%, increasing by 3.16 M TEUs;
- The cargo throughput reached the 52.02 M tonnes, experiencing a decrease of 3.3%;
- Finally, the bunker sales reduced by 1.9%, reaching the 4.09 M tonnes.
