The Indian Directorate General of Shipping reported that Indian seafarers are stranded at Dubai for last 22 months, because their companies have abandoned them. India proceeded and blacklisted these companies.
The companies that the Indian Directorate General of Shipping are Shah Al Arab Marine Agency and M/s. Alco Shippins Services LLC. The companies in question are: Enjaz 1, Enjaz 2, M T Dharma, M.V. Azab, Sharjah Moon, M.T. Ocean Prestige, Ocean Grace, AJWA.

The seafarers have not been paid wages for months, and they were not repatriated after the contract ended. The Indian Directorate also said that despite all the efforts, these companies continue to recruit Indian seafarers.
Since the above listed companies/recruiting agents have been found to be habitual defaulters in terms of payment of seafarers wages & basic provisions, it has been decided to blacklist the above recruiting owners/ agencies.
India instructed the recruitment agencies that placed Indian seafarers on the above said vessels/shipowners to immediately withdraw Indian seafarers and repatriate them.
RPSLs are also cautioned not to recruit and place seafarers on the above said vessels/ agencies. The immigration authorities are also requested not to give immigration clearance to the seafarers for boarding above said vessels.
