Atomflot, a Russian company that maintains nuclear-powered icebreakers, informed that an icebreaker of the company will conduct five cruises to the North Pole the coming summer.
The cruise will start on late June and will last until the beginning of August, Atomflot’s Director General Vyacheslav Rouksha, was cited as saying by the Russian news agency TASS.

During one of the icebreaker’s voyage the ship will transport 120 tourists to the North Pole, Mr. Rouksha said, adding that his company will cooperate with two-three companies, which are also dealing with passengers.
However, cruises are not a top priority for Atomflot, as the revenues from this sector are not more that 1.5%, the director general said.
