Hyundai Heavy Industries’ desulphurization facilities, despite being on the same level with existing European products, have reduced their size by about 35% through an all-in-one design.
Moreover, Hyundai Merchant Marine recently ordered twelve 23,000 TEU container ships from Samsung Heavy Industries and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, which will have scrubbers as well.
In addition, two 11,000 TEU ships were delivered in June from Hanjin’s Subic, which also include scrubbers.
