Anemoi Marine Technologies Ltd. has partnered with NAPA to enhance the performance of Anemoi’s Rotor Sails through weather routing and voyage optimization tools.
This collaboration allows ships equipped with Rotor Sails to access NAPA’s tailored route suggestions, which factor in various environmental conditions to optimize the use of wind propulsion, hoping to lead to significant fuel savings and emission reductions.
Under the agreement, NAPA’s software will be available with all future Anemoi Rotor Sail installations, including newbuilds and retrofits. The integration of this technology is expected to maximize the operational efficiency of vessels, helping them meet international emissions reduction targets.

As Claes Horndahl, Commercial Director, Anemoi Marine Technologies, explained to SAFETY4SEA during Posidonia: “it’s essential to choose something that truly makes a difference. Meanwhile, Mikko Kuosa, CEO of NAPA, explained that by integrating NAPA Voyage Optimization software with Anemoi’s Rotor Sails they equip shipowners and operators with the necessary tools to fully harness wind power for greater efficiency and sustainability.
