Hapag-Lloyd released a statement informing its customers that it launched a new Turkey North America East Coast Service (TNE) that will begin in April. The service will call 9-daily; Hapag-Lloyd will provide one out of five vessels.
Specifically, the company reported that by this new shipping line offers direct connectivity between the Turkish Marmara Sea port of Izmit, Istanbul and Gemlik to the US ports of New York, Norfolk and Savannah.
Additionally, the service enables connectivity between Turkey and West Africa via transshipment in Algeciras.
The new shipping line provides a direct service between the US East Coast and Alexandria, Egypt.
According to the company the first sailings will be as follows:
- Westbound: MV Satie departing from Alexandria, Egypt on April 11, 2019;
- Eastbound: MV Satie departing from New York on May 6, 2019.
