Grieg Green has joined forces with ReFlow, with the aim of developing digital solutions to document the environmental performance of companies.
As Grieg Green explains, the industry’s growing focus on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) aligns with regulatory pressures such as the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. ReFlow’s LCA digital platform for vessels, combined with Grieg Green’s recycling and site auditing capabilities, aims to facilitate in this journey.
What is a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Software?
LCA software is employed to assess and quantify the environmental impact of vessels at different stages, including design, construction, operation, and decommissioning. This enables stakeholders to make informed decisions regarding sustainable practices, emissions reduction, and compliance with environmental regulations.
Grieg Green and ReFlow plan to develop digital services collaboratively, providing ship owners with information and tools for sustainable decision-making related to vessel design, decarbonization, optimization, and end-of-life planning.
We sought to offer data-driven and valuable services that keep our customers compliant with regulations, enable their ESG strategy, and make them more competitive.
… said Pia Meling, managing director of Grieg Green.
According to Grieg Green, the ReFlow platform enables businesses in the maritime value chain to assess products’ carbon footprint and make informed decisions on raw material procurement, equipment design, fuel choices, operations, upgrades, and end-of-life strategies.
Together, we are not just offering services; we are pioneering a movement towards data transparency and environmental accountability in the maritime sector.
