According to Lloyd’s Register Marine Global Trends 2030 Report
Lloyd’s Register, QinetiQ and University of Strathclyde have worked together to prepare Global Marine Trends 2030 report.
According to the report, total tonnage and vessel numbers will increase for all major ship types. The increases for tankers will be at a slower rate. The total tonnage of tankers is expected to grow only 1.7-1.8 times, compared to bulk carriers, containerships and LNG, which are expected to grow between 1.8 and 3 times over the next two decades.
