The Global Maritime Forum (GMF) has published its first-ever Impact Report, detailing the organisation’s contributions to shaping a greener, fairer, and more resilient maritime industry in 2024.
On the decarbonisation front, highlights include the Forum’s continued leadership on green shipping corridors, catalysing projects like the Australia-East Asia Iron Ore Green Corridor and the Singapore-Rotterdam initiative, and convening industry voices to influence ambitious mid-term decarbonisation measures at the International Maritime Organization.
The report also details the Forum’s work on seafarer well-being and inclusion, much of which is done through its flagship human sustainability programme, the All Aboard Alliance. In 2024, 12 Alliance members participated in the Diversity@Sea pilot project to test real-world improvements to life at sea.
The Impact Report also highlights growing momentum behind maritime transparency through the Poseidon Principles, the Poseidon Principles for Marine Insurance, and the Sea Cargo Charter, as well as the Forum’s convening power through its Annual Summit and other gatherings and consortia around the world. It details the main takeaways from the Annual Summit in Tokyo, which brought together roughly 200 key decision-makers from 160 companies and 29 nationalities.
From advancing zero-emission fuel demand and championing better conditions for seafarers, to supporting green shipping corridors and hosting our Annual Summit, the Global Maritime Forum is making a tangible difference.

Looking ahead, the Forum will host its 2025 Summit in Antwerp, continuing its mission to accelerate collective action for a sustainable maritime future.
