Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (MES) delivered hull part of a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading Unit (FPSO Hull) for the account of MODEC, from its Chiba Shipyard, and the FPSO Hull sailed out on 27th February, 2015.
The FPSO Hull will be chartered to a consortium formed by Petrobras (45%), BG Group (30%) and Repsol Sinopec Brasil S.A. (25%) after topside integration and commissioning work by MODEC.
FPSO is a vessel used for production and storage of crude oil on the sea. This is MES’ 2nd FPSO Hull following Kerr-Mcggy Global Producer III delivered in 2000.
