The Business Network for Offshore Wind will cooperate with New York, New Jersey, Virginia and Maryland to help these states advance offshore wind projects and promote green energy in general.
Namely, in New York the organization will work with the New York State Energy Research & Development (NYSERDA) to establish a supply chain database and has searched companies’ offshore wind capabilities to facilitate NYSERDA choose.

As for New Jersey, the Business Network will help connect companies to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJ BPU), in order to develop the state’s offshore wind plan.
In addition, in Virginia the Business Network will collaborate with BVG Associates to help the Commonwealth attract the offshore wind supply chain and service industry.
Lastly, the organization will attempt to formalize the Maryland Offshore Wind Cluster, in order to enhance public and private sector knowledge in the offshore wind supply chain.
What is more, the Network will be working with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) to create offshore standards and guidelines.
