Golar LNG Limited announced that the FLNG Hilli Episeyo departed Keppel Shipyard on Sunday October 1st.
Having successfully reached mechanical completion, the vessel has been moved to deep-water anchorage, where Keppel Shipyard will complete final marine commissioning.
The vessel is currently expected to leave Singapore between October 15 and October 20.
Hilli Episeyo is the world’s first converted Floating Liquefaction Vessel (FLNGV), owned by Golar Hilli Corporation (Golar), a subsidiary of Golar LNG. The vessel was named at a ceremony in Keppel Shipyard, a subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine, on 2 July.
Recently, FueLNG, a joint venture between Keppel and Shell, has achieved the first commercial Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunker transfer in Singapore, by completing truck-to-ship bunkering for the FLNG vessel.
The ship will also be the first FLNGV project in Africa, operating off Kribi, Cameroon for Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures and Perenco Cameroon SA.
