Fire broke out at the port of Ancona in Italy, causingsignificant damage. The fire started in a warehouse and rapidly spread in the port area. No injuries were reported.
The fire started on September 16, but its cause is yet unknown. However, firefighters have been battling the large blaze. Specifically, sixteen fire crews responded.
The fire is now under control, local media report, as the firefighters have managed to contain it and prevent it from spreading to other buildings, plants, companies and other nearby activities.
The municipality has also closed all schools, universities, parks, and outdoor sports facilities as a precaution, while citizens have been advised to limit their movements and close building windows.
