Finnish Shipowners’ Association (FSA) will cooperate with One Sea ecosystem to create better conditions for significantly a more energy-efficient and safer shipping, and to promote autonomous shipping.
Tiina Tuurnala, CEO, FSA, noted that digitalization and automation will change shipping, and FSA wants to be part of the digital maritime navigation in One Sea.
In addition to safety and energy efficiency, shipping companies are also trying to improve efficiency, optimize their operations and improve cost efficiency through digitalisation and automation.

The One Sea ecosystem, DIMECC, is believed to be on of the most important innovation platform in the Finnish industry, and is funded by Business Finland and participating companies.
Päivi Haikkola, head of One Sea, stated that the conditions are now good, for all ecosystem participants to represent the top of their field, and mentioned that Finland is also in a better position, as far as automation is concerned.
