Two workers were killed and three were injured on Monday, when a gas cylinder exploded on a vessel at a dockyard in Chittagong. The incident happened during repairing work in the vessel Desh-1.
Namely, the accident took place while five workers were using a gas cylinder to remove rust from the vessel Desh-1, which was located at the Ocean Dockyard in Shikalbaha, Chittagong.

Suddenly, the gas cylinder exploded, killing two and injuring three. According to reports, one of the bodies were found on the Karnaphuli River while the other was found inside the ship.
The injured were transferred to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) to be treated. One of the injured sustained burn injuries, while another worker got injured as he tried to jump off from the ship.
