Damage at Headquarters
Evergreen Shipping Agency (America) Corporation, North America Agents for global carrier Evergreen Line, has activated its emergency business operation procedures effective immediately. Seamless transition is already in place and will continue until the power failure, flooding and other effects of Hurricane Sandy are completely remediated at the Jersey City headquarters.
Every container carrier utilizing facilities and offices in the Northeast has been affected by the hurricane that struck the region this week.
“The safety of our people and integrity of the service that our loyal customers expect of Evergreen have mandated the activation of our emergency operational processes until all damage is repaired,” said a company spokesperson. “We want to ensure minimal impact through our course of business.”
