Hong Kong Maritime Week

The eighth edition of Hong Kong Maritime Week (HKMW), scheduled from – November , is set to be a standout event on the global maritime circle calendar again! Under the theme“ Navigating to a Greener Future”, this annual flagship event will continue to“ Propel Hong Kong” as a world-leading international maritime centre.

Organised by the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board (HKMPB), HKMW thrives on the collaborative efforts of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA) and the Hong Kong Maritime Museum (HKMM) as co-organisers, alongside the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) as partners.

welcome to participate in HKMW, enjoying a week of dynamic and engaging events showcasing the vibrancy of the Hong Kong maritime industry.

Embark on an exciting journey at HKMW 2024, where a large variety of industry-led and public events await! Kicking off the Week is the thrilling  Orienteering Race on 17 November, promising a day filled with excitement, adventure, and camaraderie. Participants will engage in friendly competition as they navigate diverse terrains, using maps to discover and conquer multiple checkpoints. Get ready for a day of high team spirits and exhilarating challenges!

The Opening Ceremony of HKMW 2024 cum World Maritime Merchants Forum 2024 will take place on 18 November, marking the start of the business side of the Week. This important event will gather senior government officials and key industry figures, such as the Chairman of China Merchants Group and the Chairman of ICS for a momentous inauguration. An invitation-only gala dinner exclusively for top-echelon industry leaders will also be arranged after the Forum.

Exciting highlights of HKMW 2024 also include the first-ever Hong Kong Global Maritime Trade Summit on 18 November, followed by the Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference (ALMAC) on 15-19 November. Organised by ICS, the inaugural Hong Kong Global Maritime Trade Summit will make its debut during HKMW 2024, uniting top-tier industry leaders, policymakers, representatives from leading international organisations, and experts from various maritime sub-sectors around the world to discuss solutions for countering the challenges faced by the global maritime industry. Meanwhile, ALMAC will serve as a platform for vital exchanges and business opportunities, bringing together experts and practitioners from the maritime, logistics, aviation and supply chain management industries.

Other renowned international organisations/companies such as American Bureau of Shipping, Capital Link, Lloyd’s List Intelligence, Mare Forum and YPSN (HK) Limited will also host a variety of engaging activities. These contributions will enhance the HKMW 2024 experience with valuable industry expertise and global perspectives.
