IMO’s 71st session of Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC 71), held in IMO headquarters in London this week, promoted Europe’s first training centre for LNG professionals, according to UK Embassy of Spain.
The training centre, named International School of LNG, is established in North Spain by Spanish energy company, Enagas, and the Spanish maritime safety agency, Salvamento Maritimo.
There are currently three courses available in the centre: LNG safe handling and operation, small-scale LNG and bunkering, and maintenance of LNG regasification plants.
