The Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme has open calls for seed money projects with deadline on December 9, 2019. Companies and organizations can apply for seed money, which are used in projects that fall in line with EU’s macro-regional strategy for the Baltic region. It is possible to apply for funds up to 50.000 euro.
In addition to seed money, companies that have completed an Interreg-project can apply for extension stage funds. The extension call is relevant for companies that want to continue the project with a focus on implementation. The deadline for the extension stage call is on February 27, 2020.
Horizon 2020, the biggest research-funding program of EU, has open calls towards spring 2020. Under the theme of 'Smart, Green and Integrated Transport Challenge' maritime businesses and organizations have the opportunity to suggest solutions for some of the most complex issues in the sector.
Several companies and organizations have been, and still are, partners in EU-funded projects. Except for external funding for innovative ideas, EU-funded projects can build networks and serve as a way of solving some of the most important issues in the sector.
