EMSA has launched the Blue Data Warehouse, a new project designed to facilitate access to various information sources from systems managed by EMSA as well as from possible commercial providers.
The Blue Data Warehouse project recognises the importance of the development of reliable statistical and analytical products for the Agency.
The project is designed to facilitate the cross-fertilisation of different data sources, enabling new statistical indicators and improving data quality controls.
It will give more freedom to in-house maritime experts to explore data sets and bring better insight into maritime data.
The project is based on an iterative approach to the different areas of competence of the Agency.
It will define a specific data governance and technical architecture based on best practices in terms of data management and state-of-the-art technology.
