According to local sources, the Costa Mediterranea cruise ship experienced a technical problem while docked at the port of Stavanger, Norway. Specifically, the cruise ship suffered problems during an exercise routine, as two lifeboats were stuck, as the seafarers tried to lift them up.
Mainly, the technical problem was seen in a davit of the port side, as they couldn’t hoist the two lifeboats. Therefore, a floating crane was deployed to place the lifeboats back and secure them.
The incident resulted to delaying the departure of the vessel.
Stavanger port was the last stop for the cruise ship, as the vessel would sail and complete her journey in Bremerahaven, in Germany.
Concluding, according to sources, no injuries were reported.
