On January 7, the cruise ship ‘Forever Lucky’ ran aground in Sulu sea northeast of Cagayancillo, Cagayancillo island, Palawan province, Philippines, while en route from Bataan to General Santos for repairs, according to local sources. Until January 12, the vessel was monitored by the Philippine Coast Guard for possible oil leak.
Mainly, all 17 cargo crew members were safe and were transmitted to the Puerto Princesa city on January 10 in good condition, according to local sources.
Moreover, the “Forever Lucky” cruise ship ran aground when it was being towed for dry docking, according to the Coast Guard Operations Center.

Investigation then showed that the cruise ship is owned and operated by Farenheit Company Ltd. Before it was apprehended, its last maritime activity was recorded at Orion,Bataan and was preparing to depart the country for Micronesia to transport undocumented number of Filipinos.
In July last year alone, it was reported that the vessel had been halted by the authorities to cancel the ship from Orion, Bataan to Micronesia with about 139 Filipinos who have no legal document to work outside of the country .
