According to reports, on 31 October the crane on the deck of the general cargo vessel Anka Sun collapsed as the vessel was anchored off Ahirkapi, Turkey.
As it reported after the the crane on the deck of the cargo vessel collapsed, three crew members were injured. The authorities were notified, and assistance was promptly dispatched.
Furthermore, Turkey’s General Directorate of Coastal Safety sent the KEGM-4 fast rescue boat and the tugboat Kurtarma 7.
The injured were swiftly taken to the hospital according to the reports and efforts are already underway to remove the wreckage of the crane off the vessel’s deck.
The Anka Sun is a 1994-built general cargo ship flagged in Vanuatu. It is 91.46 meters long, has a beam of 13.6 meters, and has a gross tonnage of 2,818.
