Container vessel collision sparks crane topple at Evyap Port

As the YM Witness maneuvered into the dock, its deck collided with one of the cranes, leading to the toppling of three out of the four cranes. According to the Maritime Executive, at least one crane operator present at the time sustained serious injuries.

Numerous cargo containers fell into the water as a result of the incident. Promptly, police and firefighters were dispatched to the scene to provide assistance to those in peril and to initiate an investigation.
