According to the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organisation, the non-oil products being exported from the Chabahar port towards South-eastern Iran, have experienced an increase of 100%, in the first quarter of the current Iranian year, in comparison to the same period last year.
Specifically, the Director General of Sistan and Baluchestan Ports and Maritime Organization Behrouz Aghaee commented
Loading and unloading of goods increased considerably after the inauguration of first phase of Shahid Rajaei Port of Chabahar.
He continued that the loading and unloading operations of different types of oil and non-oil products in the specific port marked a 37% growth since the beginning of this year as compared to the same period last year.
In the meantime, he also addressed that loading and unloading of oil products, also rose by 69%, while the export of non-oil products showed a considerable 100% hike as compared to the last year, corresponding period.

Mr Behrouz Aghaee added that the number of inbound vessels, that are more than 100,000 tonnes, saw a 29% growth in the first three months of 2019, on the contrary to the same period last year.
Whereas, the vessels above the 1,000 tonnes increased by 29% as well.
