Ships seized in the midst of transferring 50,000 lt diesel to the other
The captains of two foreign ships and their crew were arrested after the two vessels were found illegally transferring fuel off the Coast of Malaysia last week, The Star Online reports.
The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) seized the vessels when officers found one of them was in the midst of transferring 50,000 litres of diesel to the other.
The Mongolia-registeredMT Victory Star was found next to Honduras-registeredMT Moresby 9 at about 5.30pm on Tuesday 12 nautical miles northwest of Muka Head.
MT Moresby 9 is the same ship that was reported attacked by pirates on July 4.
