The first vessel is expected to begin work this December, while the second and third vessel are planned to start operations during 2019.
The vessels are ‘Tor Viking,’ ‘Balder Viking’ and ‘Vidar Viking’ and they were constructed to the commercial DNV ICE-10 notation, while they will also meet Polar Class 4 (PC4).
After this acquisition Viking announced a profit of $275 million, which is a strong result in the offshore market which experiences many problems.
