The bulk carrier Honwin collided with the barge Bina Marine 59, on June 11 in Singapore Strait.
The collision took place north of Batam, Indonesia. According to information, the barge was loaded with some 4,500 tons of granite, and reported damages, and it was towed to shallows to avoid sinking.

As for the bulk carrier it did not interrupt its voyage from Singapore to Bahodopi, South East Sulawesi, and sailed away, after being allowed to continue sailing.
Recently, another collision took place involving a barge. Namely, the transport prosecutor’s office in Chuvash, Russia initiated an investigation into the cause of a deadly tug collision on the Volga River on June 12, which killed four.
At about midnight Sunday, a motorboat,identified as the Volzhanka Voyager 67, collided with the towboat Kolomensky 803 on the Volga near Cheboksary. The crew of the tug were unharmed, but all four men aboard the motorboat were killed.
