Dr. Maria Carrera

Dr. Maria Carrera works as a Research Associate at the World Maritime University (WMU) in Malmö, Sweden (https://wmu.se/people/maria-carrera-arce ). She is a doctoral qualified psychologist who works in projects with a focus on maritime human factors, psychological wellbeing and safety behaviour. She currently contributes to the SAFEMODE project (https://safemodeproject.eu/) on Human Factors in maritime and aviation, and leads the institutionalization of the project’s outcomes and the development of policy recommendations. She is a chartered member (CPsychol) of the British Psychological Society (BPS), member of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors (CIEHF), and member of the Women International Shipping and Trade Association (WISTA).
