Debra DiCianna

Debra DiCianna has extensive experience in compliance and operational issues associated with the design/performance of ballast water management systems (BWMS). Ms. DiCianna has been a delegate for the US and ICS at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and has served on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Ballast Water Tech Panel. Ms. DiCianna worked at the U.S. EPA on development of national discharge standards for various industries and evaluating the effectiveness of waste treatment technologies. Ms. DiCianna also supported the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Military Sealift Command and the American Bureau of Shipping in developing waste management solutions, assessing environmental compliance issues, and designing ship environmental systems. Debra has Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
