Anna Ziou

Anna leads the organisation’s safety and environment policy department. Her team seeks to deliver a regulatory climate that maintains high safety and environmental standards for British Shipping companies without competitive disadvantage. Anna is a maritime regulatory specialist with broad experience in climate change mitigation measures, air emissions, ballast water management and other environmental issues. A part of her policy work also involves issues related to short sea shipping. Anna joined the Chamber in June 2013. Before that, she worked with a number of leading shipping companies, where she gained extensive experience in the safety, energy and environmental impacts and regulatory issues affecting the industry. Anna also holds a BSc degree in Shipping, Trade, and Transport and an MSc in Maritime Operations and Management from the City University.
