On September 17, four armed robbers boarded an anchored product tanker, at Conakry Anchorage, Guinea. After the robbers boarded the ship, the crewmembers mustered in the citadel, until the boarders left. All crew is reported safe.
According to reports, the tanker is the ‘STI Hammersmith’, owned Scorpio Tankers.

When the robbers boarded the ship they started firing at the bridge windows and gained access into the accommodation. They ransacked all crew cabins and escaped with crew personal belongings.
The Master raised the alarm, locked the accommodation and all crew mustered in the citadel. In addition, a navy boat arrived at the location to provide assistance.
All crew is reported safe.
