PSW Power & Automation has signed a contract with Ålesund region harbor authority for the delivery of a shore power system in Ålesund.
This is the second shore power system PSW Power & Automation is delivering to the Ålesund region port authority.
The delivery includes the design and commissioning of a shore power system with total capacity of up to 15 MVA. PSW Power & Automation will design and manufacture the module-based shore power units with integrated frequency converters, switchgear, transformer and energy management system.
This is a sizeable contract for the company. The project will start immediately, and delivery will take place in Q2-2025.
The system will deliver clean energy to vessels in berth and contribute to substantial reductions in noise and emission as well as great savings in maintenance and fuel for the shipowners.
