Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) has given Aker BP consent to drilling of exploration well 24 / 9-13 in the North Sea. The well is located in the North Sea, close to the field Bøyla and Alvheim, while the sea depths of the city are 117.5 meters.
The drilling is expected to being at the earliest in mid-June 2019, and is estimated to be for at least 21 days.
It will also be carried out with the mobile drilling facility Deepsea Nordkapp.

Deepsea Nordkapp is a 6th generation semi-submersible drilling facility of the type Moss Maritime CS 60E, owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling. The facility is registered on Bermuda and classified by DNV GL.
Moreover, Deepsea Nordkapp has received a question of conformity (AoC) from the PSA in 2019.
