AET has been delivered its second LNG dual-fuel very large crude carrier (VLCC), Eagle Ventura, chartered to Shell for a long-term contract.
The Eagle Ventura is the sister vessel of the Eagle Vellore, which was delivered in late August. There is also a third sister vessel expected for delivery. The three sister vessels are all built at Geoje, South Korea by Hanwha Ocean.
Apart from dual-fuel propulsion, the three ships have optimized hull forms and propellers, improvement ducts, and rudder bulbs to further increase the vessel’s energy efficiency.
According to AET, this delivery underscores their commitment to sustainable shipping and delivering more energy with less emissions.
AET President & CEO Zahid Osman stated that he was pleased to have witnessed the delivery of this state-of-the-art vessel at the Hanwha Ocean shipyard in Geoje, South Korea.
