ABS Nautical Systems (ABS NS) launched an electronic logbook solution for maritime operations, in an effort to replace traditional paper logbooks and boost digitalization within the industry.
Following IMO’s non-mandatory adoption of electronic record books on 1 October 2020, which welcomes digital entries onboard, the launch of NS eLogs goals to bring a new dimension to compliance management through a browser-based experience.
What is more, NS eLogs aims to help shipowners and operators reduce operational costs, simplify user data entry, enhance data reliability while improve regulatory compliance.

For the records, the electronic logbook can function as a standalone application or be integrated into the NS Enterprise suite and will be accessible through the digital platform from ABS, My Digital Fleet.
Concluding, NS eLogs is authorised by all Flag States who accept Recognised Organisation (RO) approval, including Marshall Islands, Singapore, Isle of Man, Australia and the RO ABS. The solution includes over 20 electronic logbooks covering several areas of operation, including EU MRV, IMO DCS and MARPOL, to support environmental sustainability.
