The DFDS Ro-Ro cargo ship “Finlandia Seaways” suffered a fire in its engine room in April 16 in the English Channel, while heading to Rosyth UK, from Zeebrugge Belgium.
According to information, one crewmember, who was in the engine room when the fire broke out, was injured and was transported to a hospital in the UK.
The rest of the crew members and four passengers are reported as safe.

“Finlandia Seaways” was brought to anchor off Lowestoft, UK, where it still remains. The situation is now under control, and more information about the ship are expected when they are available.
