The general cargo ship “Pac Seginus” collided with the anchored tanker “Nautical Global XVI”, while leaving Kandla port, Gujarat, India, on March 22. The vessels sustained damages, but no injuries were reported.
“Pac Seginus” was leaving the port of Kandla, in India, when it collided with the tanker “Nautical Global XVI” which was at anchorage at the time. “Nautical Global XVI” lost its portside anchor and started to drift, and it nearly hit another tanker the ” Tiger Integrity”. “Nautical Global XVI” managed to retain control and was brought to anchor, but it has lost its anchor and it sustained damages on the ballast tank.

“Pac Seginus” was at anchor at the site of the accident, and until March 23 it was still at anchor. There are not information regarding the damages it sustained.
“Nautical Global XVI” is in lay-up since last year, and is in blackout condition.
All ships sailing in the port of Kandla are warned of lay-up, blackout ships on Kandla anchorage.
