Mr. George Teriakidis, Area Manager, Maritime, DNV, makes an assessment of 2021 and shares his message for the new year across the global maritime community.

We have asked Mr. George Teriakidis, DNV GL Area Manager East Med & Black Sea, to make an assessment of 2020 from his perspective and share his message for the new year across the global community. Among others, he highlights how the pandemic has accelerated our path towards digitalization with remote surveys showing an increase during the last months. 

In terms of environmental challenge there are many rules and regulations that are going to come in place from IMO as well as EU which aim towards emission control. These have not been finalized yet, some of them because there are still many issues to be resolved and certain dates might be postponed, noted Mr George Teriakidis, DNV, in an interview during Posidonia 2014.
